The position is with an exciting construction project management consulting company working on behalf of US Government agencies as Owners Rep. Clients include DOS, DOD, Intel Community (IC), and other US Gov't agencies US Dept of Commerce, etc.
As a consultant, the senior scheduler will be responsible for reviewing all baselines, and subcontractor schedules, advising and verifying the accuracy, and identifying risk in terms of scheduling delays. In addition, the candidate will need to be an excellent writer with strong verbal communications skills interfacing directly with clients and subcontractors. Detailed schedule analysis is required along with verification of any resulting change orders from situational changes and delays.

Location / Housing – On-site in Birmingham, AL. Housing allowance and moving costs for local living accommodations. Base Salary: $120K base, great benefits, bonus, great vacation, housing allowance Clearance Level: Active TOP SECRET preferred but the company will sponsor an upgrade from Active SECRET.
What's min. Skills needed?
10 yrs. Exp in construction scheduling (vs. IT and other related scheduling)
BS in Const. Management or related degree; architecture, engineering, etc.
Strong working knowledge of the Construction Process IAW, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR),
Expert in scheduling, critical path analysis, earned value management and using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 for managing tasks, collaboration, managing timelines, measuring progress, and generating reports.
Experience producing and managing a resource/cost-loaded schedule for the life cycle of a construction project from concept to engineering/design, to procurement and construction.
Proficient in MS Office Suite applications of MS Project (2010), Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, and is skilled at performing data evaluation, formulas, and metrics in Excel.
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving acumen in the area of scheduling.
Perform time impact analysis, and track changes that affect the schedule.
Have an understanding of policies, methods, and procedures that includes advanced Planning and Scheduling techniques, Risk Analysis, Risk Management, and support of project objectives.
